🥞 More than pancakes

Every week, Young Life volunteers arrive before school to cook fresh pancakes for students.

Parents often tell us, “My kids make sure they get there early because they love it and don’t want to miss out.” But the best part isn't the food, it's the conversations, friendships, and sense of community that grows around the breakfast table.

Thank you!

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we surpassed our $2,500 Matching Day cap before 10am yesterday.

Every matched dollar will help Young Life leaders continue showing up for young people across Australia with care, consistency, and hope.

While the matching funds have now been fully unlocked, our EOFY Appeal continues until 30 June. We're still working toward our overall goal of $120K, and every gift, large or small, will help reach and support more teenagers and equip the leaders who walk alongside them.

If you'd still like to give, there's time to make a difference before 30 June.

🚨 Something exciting is coming 🚨

Tuesday 9 June, every donation to Young Life Australia will be DOUBLED, matched dollar for dollar, up to a total of $2,500.

That means twice the impact for teenagers across Australia who need friendship, belonging and hope.

Every day, our leaders are showing up in schools, communities and clubs to remind young people that they matter. Whether they're mentoring, running events, supporting behind the scenes, or simply being a consistent presence, they're helping teenagers discover they are seen, known and loved.

As we come to the end of National Volunteer Week, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who plays a part in this mission.

Across Australia, your time, energy, and care are helping create places where young people feel seen, known, and valued. Whether you’re showing up week after week, listening well, running programs, supporting behind the scenes, or simply being present, you are making a lasting difference in the lives of teenagers who need it most.

What you give is not small. It matters deeply. The consistency, kindness, and encouragement you bring often become a turning point for a young person searching for belonging, hope, and connection. 💖

We know volunteering often comes at a cost, giving up evenings, weekends, and personal time, and we never want to take that for granted. Your generosity, faith, and willingness to serve so wholeheartedly are deeply appreciated.

Connection and community can get messy, and they require active work to flourish. To truly connect with God and with one another, we often have to surrender our own plans and preferences, choosing instead to love, serve, and walk alongside others well.

This year’s National Volunteer Week theme is Your Year to Volunteer, and we’re incredibly grateful for the volunteers and leaders who choose to actively enter the world of young people every day. Instead of waiting for kids to come to them, they step into the messy, beautiful reality of primary school, high school, and university life with consistency, compassion, and care.

Our volunteers give their time, energy, creativity, and heart so young people can know they are seen, valued, and loved. They help create places where kids can say:

“Young Life is where I can be myself, broken and all. I can trust I will be loved and accepted for who I am.”

To every committee member, leader, camp volunteer, supporter, and behind-the-scenes helper, thank you. You are helping young people discover that they were made for a full life of adventure, purpose, and hope.
