Join us for another great Australian History Talk with Des!
Our May talk will explore the origins of Australian convict society, examine why Britain transported convicts, who they were, and why Botany Bay and New South Wales were chosen for settlement.
The talk will also look at how convicts fared, from harsh punishment and deprivation to opportunities for survival, freedom, and new beginnings.
