Many students with complex health conditions face a daunting choice every morning - to stay home from school, isolated, or to push ahead despite the challenges of their condition. Then there are the tens of thousands who are simply unable to attend at all.

For many parents, caring for children who have complex medical and mental health conditions is a full time job. It can cause incredible disruption to family life, including for siblings.

When a student is diagnosed with a complex medical condition, siblings often miss school too. At MissingSchool, we know that school connection is crucial for all students, and that missed schooling also puts siblings at risk.

The good news is that families don't have to do it alone - support networks are out there. Hospital Schools often offer support for siblings and our technology service is also available to siblings. Call our Helpline on 1300 237 234 for personalised advice.
