A huge shoutout to Sharon McGuire and Tony Gray from Yass River Roping, who have been incredible supporters of Breakaway Roping across the Southern Zone for many years. 🤠

Their passion, dedication and hard work have played a huge part in helping Breakaway Roping continue to grow year after year, particularly in creating opportunities for women in the sport. It’s a real credit to them both.

They say it takes a village to run a rodeo, and at Queanbeyan Rodeo, we know just how true that is. 🤠

We simply couldn’t do what we do without the incredible support of Jamie and Christine McPherson and Weston Creek Molonglo Women’s Cricket Club .

Year after year, this amazing group turns up ready to work and they don’t stop — sun up to sundown, all week long. Their hard work, commitment and willingness to lend a hand wherever needed has played a huge part in helping Queanbeyan Rodeo become the event it is today.

And their support doesn’t stop when the rodeo is over! Jamie, Christine and the crew also proudly represent Queanbeyan Rodeo at other local events, including Yass River Roping, running the BBQ and helping raise valuable funds for our rodeo. 🌭🔥

We are incredibly lucky to have such a dedicated group of people behind us. Queanbeyan Rodeo simply wouldn’t be what it is today without them.

The ABCRA are proud to be launching the first tier of the Rodeo Pathways Program with the 'Rodeo Rookies' on the 1st August 2026, held at the Tamworth Jockey Club.

From 10:30am to 1:30pm, Rodeo Rookies Gala Day transforms the grounds into a hands on, heart pounding introduction to life in the arena. This is where curious children aged 7-15, step into boots, hats, and a whole new world learning what it takes to ride, rope, and run like a true cowboy or cowgirl.

Five years ago the 1st Jerrabomberra Scout Hall joined the Queanbeyan Rodeo volunteer group to assist with the operations of the rodeo.
They are the most amazing group of kids and parents; willing to assist in all capacity on the Saturday and clean up on Sunday. We appreciate everything they do for the rodeo. The Queanbeyan Rodeo committee are very happy to continue their support for the Jerrabomberra Scouts Group and provide a donation towards new equipment.
