The ABCRA are proud to be launching the first tier of the Rodeo Pathways Program with the 'Rodeo Rookies' on the 1st August 2026, held at the Tamworth Jockey Club.

From 10:30am to 1:30pm, Rodeo Rookies Gala Day transforms the grounds into a hands on, heart pounding introduction to life in the arena. This is where curious children aged 7-15, step into boots, hats, and a whole new world learning what it takes to ride, rope, and run like a true cowboy or cowgirl.

Five years ago the 1st Jerrabomberra Scout Hall joined the Queanbeyan Rodeo volunteer group to assist with the operations of the rodeo.
They are the most amazing group of kids and parents; willing to assist in all capacity on the Saturday and clean up on Sunday. We appreciate everything they do for the rodeo. The Queanbeyan Rodeo committee are very happy to continue their support for the Jerrabomberra Scouts Group and provide a donation towards new equipment.

The Queanbeyan Rodeo Committee may be small but we work very hard all year round to put our rodeo together. When it comes to the rodeo week it’s our volunteers that help bring it all together. The NSW Rural Fire Service has been a part of our volunteers for over 20 years. This week it was our turn to support them with a donation to help with new equipment for their trucks.

Queanbeyan rodeo had the pleasure of donating money to the Queanbeyan girl guides last week . They have been helping with our VIP tent with the head chef Micheal schilling . They also run our drinks stand .The girl guides and Micheal have been a part of our rodeo for 15 years and we appreciate everything they do to help run our Rodeo ..

As per recent updates around the travel requirements of youth competitors, when entering an event for someone aged 17 and under, you will be asked the name, number and relationship of the person who that youth will be travelling with to the event.
