The Proserpine Lions, Ladies and Leos International Women's Day event may have been rained out the first time but Saturday, March 28th was a lovely afternoon of fashion, speakers, High Tea and friends.
This was certainly a team event to put together and we thank all of you - those who visible, those who were invisible and those who attended to support Meals on Wheels Proserpine and Whitsunday Foodbank.
A big thank-you to Lyn Burke, who was a driving force and tied it all together. Many thanks for your community heart, Lyn.

Youth of the Year is one of our favourite projects! This year, Tiarne has done a wonderful job of representing our club from club to District level, shining brightly each step along the way. Congratulations on a fabulous effort.
We also congratulate all her fellow contestants at the 201Q2 District final, including Harry and Claudia for their Public Speaking, & Community Participation wins, respectively. We wish Amelie all the best as she proceeds to State level.

of the Year Australia is one of our best club nights. Congratulations to our 3 inspiring entrants from Proserpine State High School. Our Overall Winner was Tiarne Watson, who will represent us in Airlie in March. Tiarne also won the Public Speaking with a speech that both challenged and inspired us: "Walk With Me"- themes of Domestic Violence. These three ladies faced a 4-panel interview, prepared a 5-minute speech, and spoke on two unknown topics; a challenge to make many of us quiver, but they all did it with aplomb and came out smiling!
Thank you to our wonderful judges, guests and community who make our event possible! We are very grateful for your support. Big thanks to Whitsunday Leisure Activity Centre for another beautifully catered and hosted night! That punch was fabulous, and dinner is always perfect. Compliments bouncing around the room ♥
