⚓ Our First-ever Boat Shed Gathering, Brisbane Water Marine Rescue
Built by our own Green Watch volunteers, with a big hand from the Gosford Men's Shed and generous support from Bunnings, our new boat shed event is officially open for business.
But this isn't just about the shed event itself. It's about keeping our operational and non-operational members connected, whether you're out on the water or holding things together on shore.
The initiative was championed by our Welfare & Membership Officer Chrissie Lowe, alongside Bob Knowles, and it's now a regular fixture on the calendar. Because looking after each other matters just as much as looking after our vessels.
A well-being check-in doesn't need to be complicated. Sometimes it's as simple as a cuppa, a yarn, and asking "R U OK?" And sometimes that one question is the difference that saves a life.
Huge thanks to everyone who pitched in to make this happen, and to every volunteer who shows up for our community, week in, week out.
