What does the Pine Mountain & Districts Progress Association do?
This is a question we often get asked — so here’s a simple explanation.
The Progress Association is a volunteer community group that acts as a voice for Pine Mountain and surrounding districts.
We work to:
🗣️ Represent the community
We raise local issues with Ipswich City Council and other government bodies on behalf of residents.
🚧 Advocate on local concerns
This can include road safety, traffic, planning and development, environmental issues, and infrastructure needs.
🤝 Connect the community
We help share information, bring people together, and support events that strengthen local connections.
💡 Give residents a say
We provide a space where community concerns and ideas can be discussed and taken forward.
🎉 Support community events
Helping create opportunities for locals to connect and enjoy where they live.
The Association is run entirely by volunteers — and everything we do depends on people who are willing to be involved.
📣 Come along to the AGM on 19 May at the Hall
We’ll share what’s happening locally, what’s been raised with Council, and what’s coming up — and we’re also looking for new committee members.
No experience needed — just an interest in your community and a willingness to help shape its future.
