Surf Life Saving in Western Australia is a volunteer based not-for-profit community service organisation, providing an essential educational and emergency rescue service to all users of West Australian beaches. Surf Life Saving is a part of the history, fabric and future of this country. It represents the lifestyle, values and beliefs of the Australian culture. It protects life, it saves life, it promotes life. We create a safe environment in and around our beaches, through patrols on, in and above the shore and through education and training programs. Surf Life Saving is the largest volunteer movement of its kind in Australia and exists only through community donations, fundraising and corporate sponsorship. Surf Life Saving Western Australia comprises a State centre, 31 surf life saving clubs, support operations teams on the water and in the air and over 21,500 members who are all committed to saving lives and positively impacting on their local communities.

BUSSELTON INSTRUCTORS WANTED\\ SLSWA are seeking Instructors to run series 2 of the City of Busselton Surfbabies & SurfKids Program. The program runs on Saturday mornings from
30 January – 6 March 2027.

Requirements:
β€’ Must be over 17 years old
β€’ Enthusiastic with experience working with children
β€’ Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and either a Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) or Bronze Medallion qualification
β€’ Possess a moderate fitness level

The gathering starts at 9:00 am in front of the club, bringing the coastal community together to remember Greg, support one another, and reconnect with the beach following the recent shark incident.

All are welcome.

Volunteers needed this Sunday

We’re seeking nine volunteers to help Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club support the Community Gathering in memory of Greg O’Neill on Sunday 11 October.

6 BBQ volunteers – meet at the club at 7:30 am

2 set-up volunteers – meet at the club at 7:30 am

1 tea/coffee urn volunteer – available from 8:45 am
