Noranda Netball Association is deeply saddened by the passing of Vicki Clement, a much-loved and highly respected member of our netball community.

Vicki was a Life Member of Noranda Netball Association, Aces Netball Club, and Rovers Netball Club. In 1996, Vicki founded Aces Netball Club and dedicated countless years to supporting her club and nurturing young developing players, leaving a lasting impact on generations of netballers.

Vicki loved netball and spent countless weekends at the courts coaching, mentoring, and helping out wherever she was needed. Her passion for the game, unwavering commitment to her players, and dedication to the netball community touched the lives of so many.

Her contribution, service, and friendship to Noranda Netball Association and the wider netball community will never be forgotten, and her legacy will continue to live on through the many players, coaches, and volunteers she inspired.

Our sincere condolences go to Lisa, our Life Member, and to Vicki’s family and friends during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Vicki. You will be greatly missed.

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight 🌟

Shining the Spotlight on Warren, or as most of us know him, Woz, Wozza.

Warren is the calm in every netball storm. His netball umpiring journey began at Rovers Netball Club when, while sitting on the sidelines, he thought, "Why not give umpiring a go?" The rest is history.

If you've spent any time at Noranda on a Saturday, you've probably seen Woz walking the courts, answering questions, providing guidance and mentoring umpires. His knowledge, patience, and willingness to help have earned him the respect of so many across our netball community.

His contribution to Noranda is invaluable, and we are incredibly fortunate to have him.

Thank you, Warren, for your dedication, service, and unwavering commitment to Noranda Netball Association. We appreciate everything you do!

Association Championships 2026 Wrap Up

We left this post for a little while because, if we're honest... it still hurts.

Months of training, preparation and commitment led to a weekend where some of our teams only got to play three games. It was disappointing, and there were certainly some tough moments to process.

But that's sport.

Our players competed hard, challenged themselves against strong opposition, and gained valuable experience that will help them continue to develop.

There was still plenty to celebrate.

👏 Congratulations to Allegra Scriva and Emily Smith, who were both selected to umpire grand finals across the weekend, a fantastic achievement and recognition of their hard work and talent.

👏 Our teams were competitive in their respective divisions and gained valuable experience against strong opposition. For our development players, that opportunity to challenge themselves and learn at a higher level is exactly what Association Championships is all about.

🏆 Our standout achievement of the weekend was taking out the 14 & Under Boys Division Championship. Coached by Melanie Symcox, this group made an incredible leap from last season and showcased what can be achieved through hard work and commitment.

Our Development players celebrated their season at their wind-up over the weekend.

Finally, a huge thank you to Lana, Mel, Gordon Janice and Aaron for setting up, packing down, picking up balloons and pizzas and helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes. Volunteers like you make opportunities like this possible.

Association Championships 2026 may not have unfolded exactly as we had hoped, but there is still plenty to be proud of.
