Panania RSL Sub-Branch

September 14th is the second Monday of the month and that means at 1900 on that day, those members of the Panania sub-Branch who wish to spend time together will gather at the Diggers club for an informal meeting. Any and all serving or ex service persons are most welcome to join in.
I send my apologies for this meeting as I am on a self funded study tour examining the effects of Italian gelato on the mental heath and well being of an Aussie vet. 😁.... Other beverages and food types have been included in the study as well.

Monday 10th August 2026 is time to put on some warm clothes and venture down to Panania Diggers to join the Panania RSL sub-Branch meeting. Starting at 1900 near the display cabinet.

Here we are in July which means it must be time for a gathering of like minds.
For all like minded Panania sub-Branch members, please come along at 1900 on Monday 13th July to the Panania Diggers for a meeting, a beverage of choice and lots of conversation .

Watch you step as the club renovations are well underway.

Hello all Panania RSL sub-Branch members.
On Saturday 4 July the Maroubra RSL sub-Branch will be taking part in a Sports and Rec event in our local area, then they will be attending the Panania Diggers club for lunch, They will be arriving around 12 30.
All Panania sub-Branch members are encouraged and welcome to come along and meet up with these people from Maroubra and join in some conversation and a refreshing beverage.

It is with sadness that I make this post
One of the Panania sub-Branch long time members who served on our executive for many years and contributed much to the RSL cause, Graeme Bellamy, passed away on Monday evening.

Graeme had recently been battling illness and crossed the bar peacefully with some of his family present.

His Service will be held at Woronora cemetery on Thursday 9th July at 11 am for those wishing to pay respects.

We are now in the chillier months however that will not slow down the sub-Branch work and efforts. To that point, Monday 8th June 2026 is the day for our next meeting. Kicking off at 1900 near the display cabinet.
Come along and enjoy the temporary Diggers Club entrance as the club renovations are very much under way.
All serving and ex service persons welcome.
A day in an Australian defence force uniform means you have done service and are welcome and encouraged to be part of what we do for veterans, serving, ex serving people and their families or come and see us if you feel that you would like our support.

Notice for all Panania sub-Branch members and interested serving and ex serving persons. The Panania RSL sub-Branch monthly meeting will be held at the Panania Diggers club on Monday 11 May. The meeting will commence at 1900 in the Sports bar. Come and chat about the success of our ANZAC services and join in some like minded conversations with the other members.
