FIG is a member co-operative offering a variety of organic/chemical-free fresh produce in a range of food boxes as well as a Pick Your Own option (eg, make up your own food box), Fresh Food Market, and an extensive Organic Pantry with dry goods, local organic & pastured egg

s, honey, etc. The produce is a selection of certified organic, in conversion to organics, with some guaranteed chemical free produce as well. Our priority is to support the local farmers however not all produce is grown locally - yet! Some weeks we can supply 100% of local produce, other times it's less. We conduct fortnightly bulk orders for those who juice, make smoothies or want larger quantities of potatoes or fruit, for example, and have abundant additional fresh produce, dry goods, local raw honey and eggs, etc, to purchase. The co-op is run by volunteers comprising of a management committee and general members, who share in the setting up and packing away, ordering, weighing & bagging up of vegies, cashier, and lots of little jobs in between. We have a membership fee structure which includes a one-off joining fee and an annual fee July-June and that amount reduces considerably when you are able to volunteer. For more information, please take a look on the website. FIG is open on Mondays from 1.30pm until 4.00pm, with box pick ups available until 5.15pm or from a hub closer to where you live. We operate weekly throughout the year at the Ourimbah Razorbacks Rugby Club, Chittaway Road, Ourimbah (entry is via the university car park), except for a couple of weeks over Christmas and New Year, and on public holiday Mondays, when we operate on the Tuesday instead. For those not local to Ourimbah, we can arrange collection from a variety of FIG Hubs around the Central Coast which may be much closer to where you live. It’s National Volunteer Week!

Our co-op is built on the backs of volunteers - without them we’d never get those fresh fruit and vege from the farmers to you.

Be sure to thank the volunteers when you see them today, be it at the co-op or the hub hosts that get your orders closer to you. They all make a big difference to each and every one of us!

Ok, ok… so the autumn weather had the volunteers feeling a little silly this week.. but they are also ready to be back tomorrow packing your orders and serving up the goods!

We’re bringing the members markets back for one day only!🥳

After the great success of our Christmas markets the FIG team have decided to open the verandah again and hold an Easter-themed market for all our members and guests on Monday 30 March! 🐰🥕🐣

Market days are the perfect excuse to pop in and discover what the co-op and our community have to offer. We cannot wait to see you all!
