Neighbourhood Houses Victoria proposed a partnership for the Registration Rebate, which would have funded our work in helping community access the rebate.

They rejected the proposal, and told us there was no funding available to assist community members who face challenges with digital literacy, digital access, language barriers and more. They are expected to apply via the website or app, or miss out on the rebate.

We think that is incredibly unfair and a poor effort from the State Government, with horrible outcomes for both our most vulnerable community members and our already underfunded Neighbourhood Houses.

Please let your local MP, Ingrid Stitt MP and Luba Grigorovitch MP know that our community deserves better!

Congratulations to Dr Liz and Louise and all Thrive 2026 participants for another successful program that has made a real difference to the health and wellbeing of older adult participants in our area. Outlets Co-Operative Neighbourhood House were pleased to auspice this project, which received WGNF funding, and to host the wonderful closing celebration last Friday.
