⚡ We hope our ‘Pay It Forward’ initiative will be shocking to you! ⚡

You could say this project has plenty of heart ♥️ 😏

Very recently, we learned that Queensland State Schools are not provided with AEDs, despite staff being trained to use them. That discovery certainly gave us a jolt!

That's why Moreton Bay First Aid Volunteers are proud to donate an AED, alarmed cabinet and signage to Tullawong State School to help improve their emergency preparedness.

While we hope it's never needed, it's reassuring to know that the school is now better equipped to respond.

A huge thank you to Salus Group Pty Ltd for their generous donation of the alarmed AED cabinets. Their support has helped us make a real difference in our community!

You don't need a stethoscope to hear the positive impact this will have! At MBFAV, we are passionate about helping our community stay safe. This donation is another small step towards ensuring life-saving equipment is available where it's needed most.

Today we recognise and thank the dedicated first responders who answer the call when their communities need them most. From paramedics, firefighters and police officers to volunteer first aiders and emergency services personnel, your commitment, professionalism and compassion make a difference every single day.

Whether it's a major emergency, a community event, or simply helping someone through a difficult moment, first responders are there when it matters most.

To all those who serve—paid and volunteer—thank you for your dedication, sacrifice, and the countless lives you impact. 💙🚑🚒🚓

Something that’s great about the events we attend is that our families are often encouraged to come along too.

So while we’re giving back to the community and supporting local events, we also get these little special moments in between — the kind that remind us why volunteering means so much. ❤️

LOOK AT THIS AMAZING SETUP! 👏🏻

We’re so lucky to be part of events like these — getting out into the community, meeting wonderful locals, supporting small businesses, and helping keep everyone safe while they enjoy a great night out.

The Kallangur Twilight Markets are a volunteer-powered, not-for-profit community event run by the Frederick Marsden Youth Centre, with proceeds helping cover event costs and supporting local charity and community initiatives.

If you see Paula and Bethany tonight, make sure you stop by and say hello! They’ll be the ones trying very hard not to spend too much at the markets… but let’s be honest, nobody goes to a market “just for a look” 😂🛍️

Our amazing volunteers Alphege, Gill, Shania, Heiner and Sandy headed to the Sunshine Coast to support Sunshine Coast First Aid Volunteers for the Bloody Long Walk! 👟☀️

The Bloody Long Walk is a 35km run/walk from Coolum Beach to Mooloolaba Beach. It’s a fundraising event supporting the fight against mitochondrial disease — a debilitating genetic condition that robs the body’s cells of energy and can affect multiple organs. Every step taken helps raise awareness and vital funds for research and support services. ❤️

After an early start, and probably more coffee than sleep ☕😴, our team proudly represented MBFAV while helping keep participants safe throughout the event.

We’re incredibly grateful for volunteers who are always willing to go the extra mile… or in this case, a VERY bloody long one! 👏

Our volunteers Simon and Amanda spent the day in Ferny Hills for the Hills Carnivale! This fantastic event brought to a close four weeks of incredible community celebrations as part of the Hills Festival. 🎉

From big smiles to great entertainment, it was a croc-ing good time for everyone involved. Thankfully, our first aiders only had to deal with a few “snappy” situations.

🐾 Our First Aid Volunteers want to introduce some of our FURst Aiders! 🐶🐱🦜

Did you know having a pet can actually be good for your health?
🧘‍♀️ Pets can help reduce stress and anxiety
🤸‍♀️ They encourage exercise and social connection
🫂 They provide companionship and unconditional love
🏡 And apparently, according to cats, they also allow us to live in THEIR house rent free 😹

Our volunteers know that sometimes the best first aid after a Ruff day is a wagging tail, a loud purr, or a bird yelling random words from the other room 🦜

No matter what kind of furry, feathery or scaled friend you have, they remind us every day how imPAWtent connection, laughter and companionship are for our wellbeing.
