Never say die!

When the Rotary Club of Kununurra closed after 38 years of service, a small group of members were determined that Rotary would not disappear from the East Kimberley.

Through an innovative partnership with the Rotary E-Club of Western Australia in Kununurra, former Kununurra members found a new way to stay connected, continue serving their community and preserve their Rotary identity.

It’s a powerful example of how flexibility and fresh thinking can keep the spirit of service alive.

Great idea!

From Zoom meetings as a two-week-old baby to delivering a dinosaur presentation at age five, Mason has grown up with Norwest Sunrise Rotary Club.

By welcoming children into meetings and events, the club has shown how family-friendly Rotary can help younger members stay connected, involved and supported – while giving one very enthusiastic young speaker an early taste of the spotlight.
Could Mason be Rotary’s youngest-ever guest speaker?

Hands on service workshop time!

We had a choice of 4 service workshops - assembling resource packs for Australian Lions Wellbeing Foundation, assembling bags for Share the Dignity, hands on making Read Bears in a Knit&Knatter group, and guidance for planning a service project and why service matters with PDG Ann Eldridge

Governance is an important part of running a Lions Club, and a District!

We’re starting the Annual General Meeting at Convention right now.

During the AGM we will endorse the minutes of the previous AGM, discuss the financial statement of the past year and the motions on notice as well as hear from the candidates for future District Governor positions (and some other things I can’t remember on the spot 🤭)
