Our second SEED Giving Circle Grant Round is now OPEN! 🎉

We’re offering grants of up to $5,000 to support bold, grassroots initiatives creating positive climate and environmental outcomes across the Northern Rivers—with a minimum funding pool of $10,000.

The SEED Giving Circle is community-led, deeply local and unapologetically hopeful. Locals in our community contribute as little as $10 a week, pooling resources and decision-making power to offer grants and other support to grassroots changemakers in our region

If your work is helping create a thriving, connected and resilient Northern Rivers, we want to hear from you.

Applications close 4 October 2026.

If you want to be part of it but don't have a project of your own, - join the Seed Giving Circle as a member- you've contribution will go to grassroots action and you can vote on shortlisted projects that get the funding - we're aiming to hit 100 members by the end of the year, enabling more grants for epic local projects.

Excited to be supporting the Agroecology and Food Sovereignty Alliance ‘s wonderful annual gathering celebrating and diving deep into networks of our local food system 🍐🍇

Since 2015, the Alloance has held a Deep Winter brings together farmers, growers, seed savers, cooks, land carers, and food activists to participate in a joyful event where we collectively discuss our challenges and successes, and share knowledge, experiences, and strategy to deepen our thinking and strengthen our movement for agroecology and food sovereignty.

Join us in the Northern Rivers for a full day dedicated to connection, shared knowledge, and collective action for food sovereignty and agroecology in the region.

This isn't a conference of speakers and slides. It's a slow, seasonal, thoughtful space where small and medium-scale farmers and allies come together as equals — to talk honestly about the challenges we face, celebrate what's working, and build the relationships and ideas that strengthen our local food system.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn chemical free bush regen techniques from a true organic maestra! Join Nadia and the Organic Landcare Inc team down at saltwater creek in Mullum and make a contribution to caring for and restoring beautiful land and waters of Bundjalung country 🌱✨

🌱 Give Back to Nature in Mullumbimby! 🌿
Join us for Organic Landcare’s next Volunteer Day as we come together to restore and protect the beautiful riparian zone at Saltwater Creek. Every tree cared for and every w**d removed helps our local ecosystem thrive!
📅 When: Saturday, 15th August 2026 | 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 Meeting Point: 156 Stuart Street (Mullumbimby Community Garden car park)
💚 Task: Green Cestrum follow-up & bush regeneration along the creek
What to Bring & Wear:
Long-sleeved shirt & long pants (for sun protection & scratch prevention)
Hat, gloves, water bottle & morning tea for our 10:30 AM break ☕🍎
Your favourite w**ding tools (if you have them!)
