Mount Barker parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 8am at the Homemaker Centre. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

Mount Barker parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am from the Mount Barker Homemaker Centre, approximately 33km east of Adelaide's CBD. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity f

or all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or
run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE!

Will you be achieving a parkrun milestone at Mount Barker parkrun this weekend?

It could be an 'official' 10 (junior) 🤍 25 💜 50 ❤ 100 🖤 250 💚 500 💙 walk/run/volunteer, or even an 'unofficial' milestone.

Let us know and we can celebrate it with you. Send us some photos and a short writeup via Messenger or to [email protected] and we will post it before the big day.

This week 130 parkrun living legends braved the weather to run, jog and walk the course, of whom 10 were first timers and 8 recorded new Personal Bests.

Mount Barker parkrun started on 22nd March 2014. Since then 10,279 participants have completed 119,581 parkruns covering a total distance of 597,905 km, including 15,410 new Personal Bests. A total of 938 individuals have volunteered 8,967 times.

It’s the night before parkrun - and we're excited!!

Time to walk, run, volunteer and have your weekly catch up with friends.

parkrun checklist - barcode✅ parkrun gear✅ alarm set ✅
7:40am - volunteers arrive
7:45am - volunteer intro and team photo
7:45am - first timers welcome
7:54am - Run Directors welcome brief (please be quiet for just a few minutes so everyone can hear)
8:00am - parkrun is go!!
