�HAILEY PIKE
December 3, 1999 - August 10, 2012 (12.75 yrs)

Hailey started her life as the third child to the Pike household. She was the little sister to Hamish (Westie) and Henry, the Chinchilla cat, who were a year older. Hailey was the fire cracker of the family and was not shy about letting potential invaders know where they stood. Hailey was well loved and enjoyed life without any real health issues for 12 years of her life. September 2011 saw her lose the use of her back legs due to what the specialists are calling Neosporosis, a parasitic disease of the spinal column. Like the feisty warrior princess she was, it wasn’t going to stop her having fun. She took to her new set of pink Walkin’ Wheels well and enjoyed walks with Hamish at the park until the day she could fight no longer. A night full of seizures, August 9, 2012, was the sign that she had lost the battle and was ready for Rainbow Bridge. � � �( Matt Pike)
