Happy 60th Birthday, Tracy! 🎂
Tracy recently celebrated a very special milestone, her 60th birthday!
Tracy knew exactly how she wanted to celebrate. A BBQ with her friends and the people important to her. With support from her team, Tracy chose the date, decided who she wanted to invite, helped plan the menu and was involved in getting everything ready for her big day.
The result was a wonderful celebration filled with music, conversation, laughter and plenty of good food.
What made the day particularly special was that it was Tracy’s celebration, planned around Tracy’s choices. Her support team was there to help make it happen while ensuring she remained actively involved in the decisions that mattered to her.
It was a beautiful example of choice and control, meaningful relationships and community participation in action.

Matt is enjoying his first week as CEO and settling into his new office, made even more special by some beautiful new artwork created by the incredibly talented clients at Day Options. 🎨💙

PJ Day was a huge success!
At HCO Day Options, we believe some of the best learning happens when we're having fun! Whether it's building new skills, making friends, or getting out and about in our local community, we love creating opportunities that our clients genuinely enjoy.
Last Friday, we all swapped our everyday clothes for our comfiest pyjamas for a fantastic PJ Day! 🎉
What made the day even more special was that this idea came directly from one of the clients. They shared that a PJ Day was something they'd love to see happen, and with support from our team, they took the lead in promoting the event to everyone at the Centre.
This was more than just a fun dress-up day, it was a wonderful opportunity for the clients to develop their public speaking and communication skills, build confidence, and see their idea come to life.
Seeing the clients' voices heard, their goals supported, and their confidence grow is what Day Options is all about. And of course, having a day full of comfy clothes, smiles and laughter is an added bonus!

🎉 What a fantastic day at the Disability Expo Australia!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the HCO stand at the Disability Expo Australia held at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre today.

Events like these are a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community, build new relationships, and raise awareness of the support available through HCO.

Thank you to the event organisers for hosting such a successful expo, and to everyone who took the time to visit us. We look forward to continuing the conversations and supporting more people to achieve their goals.

Residents at Centennial Court came together for an important discussion around bullying and cyberbullying awareness in support of Dolly’s Day 💙

The session encouraged open conversations about kindness, respect, online safety, and the importance of speaking up and supporting one another. Residents shared their thoughts and experiences while learning more about how we can all help create safer and more inclusive communities, both online and in person.

A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the discussion meaningful and supportive. Together, we can continue to spread Dolly’s message to “Be Kind. Speak Up.” 💙

Today, HCO proudly supported Do It For Dolly Day by raising awareness and funds to help create a kinder, safer world free from bullying 💙

Clients got involved by decorating blue-themed cookies, dressing in blue and taking part in activities that encouraged kindness, connection and support for one another.

A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped spread Dolly’s message — speak up, be kind and look out for each other 💙

The HCO Day Options Clients have produced the goods, yet again, at the Mount Barker Show again this year!

Bringing home multiple awards and merits across the arts, crafts and cooking categories, their creativity, dedication and talent were on full display 🎨🏆

A huge congratulations to every client who entered, you’ve done an incredible job! And a big thank you to our amazing support workers, whose encouragement and guidance help make achievements like this possible.

Look what the amazing Clients have created! 👏

This year for the Mount Barker Show we’re proud to have 38 entries from 16 Clients, plus a fantastic group woodwork project created by 3 Clients!

Here’s a snapshot of their incredible work:
🖌️ 11 paintings
🍅 3 homemade tomato sauces (first-time entries!)
🧵 1 hand-sewn piece
🎭 4 paper mâché creations
🪵 5 woodwork items (including a group-built truck!)
🖍️ 14 colouring competition entries

Every single entry represents creativity, effort, and a willingness to try something new.

A huge shoutout to the incredible support workers, who go above and beyond to support the Clients, sharing their skills, encouraging creativity, and helping bring ideas to life. From full-day sauce-making sessions (with homegrown tomatoes generously donated!) to weekly art and woodwork groups, the dedication behind these projects truly shows.

We couldn’t be prouder of everyone involved.
