We are pleased to advise that some of The Willows Children’s Centre staff will be supporting the upcoming community event, REKINDLE.
This event will take place on Saturday, 23rd May, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Flaxley Woven, located at 1909 Strathalbyn Road, Flaxley.
A small group of children from Groups 1 and 2 have collaborated with Aunty Ros at The Willows to create artwork inspired by the Reconciliation theme, “All in.” Aunty Ros guided the children in understanding reconciliation in accessible terms—emphasising respectful listening, friendship, and working, playing, and living together. The children's exploration of these concepts has been expressed through art, which will be displayed at the Flaxley Centre. Please note, not all children were able to complete an artwork.
Some Willows staff will be attending the event, and we warmly invite anyone who would like to join us. Should we have enough children present, we would be delighted to form a group to sing our Willows Acknowledgement to Country song.
We hope to see many of you there in support of this meaningful event.
