🌷 Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums out there! Today, we celebrate all the mothers, including those who step up to fill that role, offering love and support in countless ways. We understand that this day can be bittersweet for many, as some are missing their mums or facing challenges in their relationships. We’re thinking of you and honoring your feelings. 🩷We would like to send all our love to Nate who many of you know as tornado who supports our teens. He has been in icu for the last 4 weeks but will make a full recovery and we look forward to seeing him back soon. 
😍Lastly we are planing our next fundraiser so please send us your ideas.

😪 We are all so heartbroken about the news from Bondi and send our deepest sympathy to the family’s involved. Below are some ways to help talk to young people after a traumatic news event as it can be challenging but important for their emotional well-being. Here are some strategies.

👉Stay Calm: Your demeanor will influence how children react. Try to remain composed and reassuring.

👂Listen Actively: Encourage children to express their feelings and thoughts. Listen without interrupting, validating their emotions.

🗣️Use Age-Appropriate Language: Tailor your conversation to their developmental level, avoiding overly complex explanations.

🫶Provide Reassurance: Affirm their safety and that it’s okay to feel scared or confused. Remind them they are loved and supported.

🏠Limit Exposure to News: Monitor how much news they’re exposed to. Continuous coverage can be overwhelming.

✋Encourage Questions: Invite them to ask questions and answer honestly, but avoid overwhelming details.

💪Promote Healthy Coping: Teach coping strategies, such as drawing, writing, or talking about their feelings.

🚶‍♂️Maintain Routine: Keeping a normal routine can provide a sense of stability and security.

⌚️Be Patient: Understand that children may process trauma differently and may need time to adjust.

💌Seek Professional Help if Needed: If a child shows prolonged distress, consider consulting a mental health professional.
