Southern Highlands Community Transport

We have a fleet of fully serviced vehicles including cars, buses and vans. And for those clients in wheelchairs, we have a number of vehicles with hoists.

Southern Highlands Community Transport, established in 1989, provides essential transportation services to eligible clients facing transport challenges within the Wingecarribee Shire. 🚗🌟 Southern Highlands Community Transport opened in 1989 and is a not-for-profit organisation jointly funded by Federal and State Governments under the Commonwealth Home Support Program and the Community Transport Pr

ogram and supported by Wingecarribee Shire Council. Our service assists older people and people with disabilities to remain living in their own homes by providing transport to social outings, shops and medical appointments in both the local area and to longer distance areas such as Sydney and Wollongong. Our staff are made up of volunteers and paid personnel, all of whom are fully trained to assist clients to their destinations in a safe, professional and friendly manner. Southern Highlands Community Transport is an National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Provider and can assist those clients with disabilities with their transport needs. Southern Highlands Community Transport is funded under the Home & Community Care Program and the Community Transport Program to provide transport to:

Frail and elderly people
People with a disability
Carers
People wo are at risk of premature or inappropriate institutionalisation
People who are vulnerable or at risk
People from culturally distinct communities
Transport isolated people (no public transport)
Financially disadvantaged people
Eligible transport beneficiaries – Veterans
Each client is assessed on their ability to use other means of transport and the level of assistance they require to complete daily living tasks. Two of our Community buses are owned by Wingecarribee Shire Council and managed by Southern Highlands Community Transport Inc. Office Hours
Monday to Friday
9am to 5pm

There is an answering machine if you wish to leave a message on weekends or in the evening after office hours. This can be helpful if you have poor health and need to change or cancel bookings at short notice.

Burradoo Park farm is where tradition meets thoughtful cultivation.
Our historic working farm is an agritourism experience , offering hands on encounters, seasonal produce and a peaceful countryside setting.

Last Friday evening, the South West Community Transport team had the pleasure of attending the Campbelltown Chamber of Commerce Sponsor Appreciation Night at the Wests Tigers vs New Zealand Warriors game.

It was a fantastic evening of networking, catching up with fellow Chamber members and celebrating the partnerships that make our local business community so strong. From hearing about the exciting future of Campbelltown Sports Stadium and the Wests Tigers, to the unique sideline warm-up experience and sponsor presentations, it was an enjoyable and memorable event.

We are proud to be a sponsor of the Campbelltown Chamber of Commerce and appreciate the incredible work the Chamber does to support, connect and advocate for local businesses. The opportunities they create to build relationships and strengthen our community are truly invaluable.

At Accessible Transport Australia, we believe transport is more than just getting from A to B. It’s about connection, independence, confidence and being able to take part in everyday life. 🚐✨
As a registered NDIS provider, we support participants with safe, secure and accessible transport options.
Within South West Sydney, we provide reliable door-to-door transport using our fleet of accessible vehicles, with safety, comfort and dignity at the centre of every journey.
We also offer flexible vehicle hire options, with or without a driver.
If you live outside our local service areas, we can still support you through our national partnership with Cabcharge. This provides NDIS participants with the flexibility to book their own preferred taxi service — including wheelchair accessible vehicles across Australia.
We also provide NDIS Support Coordination through Accessible Options Support Coordination, helping participants understand their plans, connect with the right supports and work towards their goals.

✨ What an unforgettable adventure to Vivid Sydney 2026! ✨

Our clients enjoyed an incredible overnight getaway filled with connection, exploration, laughter, and plenty of memorable moments. 💜

Starting from our Minto depot, we headed into Sydney for a day packed with experiences — including the fascinating Queen Victoria Building History Tour, where we uncovered the stories behind one of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks.

After some time exploring the Opera House surrounds and enjoying lunch, we checked into Rydges before getting ready for the highlight of the evening — a spectacular Vivid Dinner Cruise! 🚢✨

With a delicious 3-course meal, live entertainment, and the stunning Vivid lights as our backdrop, it was an evening to remember. Our clients were also lucky enough to see the fireworks from the cruise — the perfect way to finish the night, especially as it was the final fireworks display of Vivid Sydney 2026! 🎆

Day two brought more adventures with a visit to Sydney Aquarium, followed by a beautiful ferry journey across the harbour to Watson’s Bay, taking in the breathtaking views of Sydney along the way.

Trips like this are about so much more than visiting new places — they create opportunities for friendships, confidence, independence, and meaningful connections.

We loved seeing our clients enjoy every moment and create memories that will last a lifetime. 💜
