We are extremely disappointed to discover that a hose reel has been stolen from the wall of our station.
This isn't just theft of property it is theft of equipment that our local community has helped fund to help our volunteers protect our communities.
This was bolted to the brick wall!
If anyone has any information could you please contact the The Hume Police District.

As we move into the colder months, fire agencies often see an increase in house fires as residents use their fireplaces and heaters to stay warm. With temperatures dropping and possible snow forecast across parts of the state in the coming days, it’s important you know how to stay safe.

Remember, you won’t smell smoke while you’re asleep, so make sure your bleeping smoke alarms are working. A working smoke alarm can save your life and give you and your family valuable time to escape a burning home.

Well done to our good friend W***y & his team.

Living in Wollondilly and Wingecarribee usually means bush at the back fence, paddocks down the road, or big trees all around. It’s part of what makes living here so special.

When bush fires come through, they don’t always show up as flames. It can just as easily be embers, blowing in and landing in gutters, long grass, garden beds, under decks and around sheds.

A few simple jobs really do help:
🚨Clear out your gutters
🚨Mow and slash close to the house
🚨Trim back overhanging branches
🚨Tidy up around sheds, fences and yards
🚨Have a plan and make sure everyone at home knows it

It’s about being ready, in case. If you’ve got five minutes, there are plenty of practical tips here 👉 myfireplan.com.au
