SHE branch had a successful day raising funds for CanAssist today. This happy bunch of members cooked and served a high tea for 50 guests at the Illawarra machine knitter's fashion parade. Thanks to the knitters who donated a percentage of their takings to be added to our fundraising dollars for CanAssist . Thanks to Melissa at Oaktree village for hosting us. Thanks to Gumnut for the donation of sweet treats. Posted on behalf of Jenny Woodwell

More than 50 policy motions are up for discussion at our upcoming State Conference. These have come from members in our local branches across NSW and the ACT.

“...rural and regional communities have to be even louder in our calls for a fair share of services and resources, and our Association is committed to being at the forefront of that advocacy,” State President, Tanya Jolly said.

SHE was represented today at the Dawn Service in Berrima. Members rose early and braved the Southern Highlands Fog - a beautiful service today. We were accompanied not only by the lilt of the pipes but also listened to Kookaburras as they too welcomed a new day.
