Personal review from Michelle
A few nights ago, volunteers and helpers (hey that's me!) were invited to experience the new Vino Loco pop up bar, and I haven't stopped talking about it.
If you haven't seen the carriage lately, Mat and the Pave team have done an incredible job. Restored to former beauty, full of artwork and twinkly lights. The old ripped seats are gone, replaced with beautiful high wooden tables perfect for a w**e bar. Vino Loco will be a series of pop up w**e bar nights complete with organic pizza.
We sampled some local w**es, all from the Dandenong Ranges. Love supporting some locals! I choose my favourite to have a full glass of, which was a very hard choice between the Syrah and the sweet white with the hard to pronounce name.
I'm joking, I had both.
Then this sourdough organic pizza started appearing, and I swear it was as good as the ones from Italy. I had four slices alone of the cream cheese and sage. Wow! 😍
Mandy tells me every night will showcase a different local musician, and I tried to push for w**e bar jazz style so I can feel as if I'm in a fancy cafe in Europe.
Honestly these nights are going to be really special. They start this coming Thursday with w**emaker Muto w**es who uses French, Portuguese and Italian fruits. I'm not entirely sure what that means but I absolutely want to try the w**e!
