Emerald Lions Club - Victoria

Emerald Lions Club - Victoria was proud to fire up the BBQ to support our incredible first responders and emergency teams! We recently cooked lunch for an Emergency Relief Training day held at Worrell Reserve in Emerald.
Organised by the Emergency Management team at Cardinia Shire Council, the collaborative training day brought together an amazing lineup of agencies, including: Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria, SES, CFA, multiple surrounding local councils and emergency service teams.

Events like these are vital for keeping our region safe and connected. It was a fantastic opportunity for our Lions volunteers to be involved. Thank you to everyone who attended and to Cardinia Shire Council for putting together such a successful day.

Spotted out and about in Boronia today, this car represents a fantastic initiative doing wonderful work for the community.

The TAC L2P Program supported locally by the Emerald Lions Club - Victoria and Bendigo Bank helps young people who don't have access to a vehicle or a supervising driver get their required 120 hours of driving practice.

Here is why this initiative is so special:

It provides a free vehicle and matches young learners with trained volunteer mentors so they can get their licence.

Getting a licence opens up crucial doors for jobs, study, and everyday life.

Learners gain valuable real-world experience, making roads safer for the whole community.

It’s a brilliant example of local volunteers, clubs, and businesses coming together to support the next generation.

It is always wonderful to see these cars on the road, knowing every drive gives a young person a safe start and a brighter future.
