Opportunity for local visual artists.

Hills Arts Alliance and Eastern Dandenong Ranges Association are planning an interactive arts trail based on the history of Cockatoo. Six stops along the trail will be represented through different artistic mediums, eg mural, wood or metal sculpture, mosaic, etc.

We are inviting proposals from local artists. To express interest and receive a briefing document and proposal template, email [email protected].

Proposals must be received by 27th January.

More great music in the hills next week!

Only one more week to go until we host our very own Community Concert, and personally I am so very excited, and glad that apart from setting up on the day everything is all set and ready to go.

I have been such a proud committee member for the past couple of years, and work with a truly amazing bunch of beautiful people who have allowed the "dreamer" side of me come to it's full potential and have aided me greatly in this vision. Thank you Michelle, Paula, Na, Jo and Catherine & Dalys ###x

One thing we ALWAYS wanted to do was host a concert, and while the vison of tying it into the International day of peace was mine, I couldn't have done it without them, and their guidance, and patience with me that has been required A LOT over the past month or 2. Thanks ladies (and sorry) :)

The tasks that everyone has taken on has been extraordinary. Project management, event scheduling, billboard and flyer creation (thanks Maya), sourcing of grants and funding opportunities Purchasing of uniforms, so we look as good as we sound. Program creation, sourcing staging equipment, liaising with all other choirs and sponsors involved, and media and marketing. Not to mention the wonderful Gulsen helping Dalys and The TUNE IN - Group Music kids with some choreography.

Many tasks have been way outside the usual comfort zones, but none more so than the media commitments that have been forced upon Dalys! Keep your eye out for next weeks Ranges Trader Mail for a wonderful article of the event featuring our truly amazing leader, and if you are around at 4.30 Tomorrow afternoon, make sure you tune in to 3MDR 97.1 FM to listen to our own media star Dalys talk more about the event. We are thrilled to announce Intrinsic Midwifery is opening at the BASE in the Private Practice Suite commencing on the 2nd September, 2025 and every second Tuesday thereon.
