Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a Spiderman can! 🦸‍♂️🕷🕸
In this case, the webbed wonder became Dr Spiderman, and visited the Children’s Inpatient Unit at Logan Hospital to surprise some of the Unit’s youngest patients, like the true hero he is he even brought some presents to lift their spirits.
Behind this version of Spidey was medical student George Mann who has set out make hospital stays for some of Logan’s youngest patients less worrisome and scary.
Thanks again Dr Spiderman for swinging into Logan Hospital. 👏

No, you’re not seeing double, it’s just Logan Hospital’s lookalike mother-daughter duo – Media Director Heidi and Assistant-in-Nursing Lucy! 🤩

Promoting the hospital’s good work for more than ten years, Heidi encouraged her daughter to embark on a healthcare career path while she was still at high school.

“I’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of amazing clinicians and get to see the impact they can have,” Heidi said. “I’m really proud that my daughter is following in their footsteps and has chosen to study nursing.”

Lucy, who now works as an AIN while she studies to be a registered nurse, said she never thought she’d be carpooling to work with her mum.

“We do everything together, we’re best friends, and now we even get to come to work together,” she said.

This Mother’s Day, Lucy has a special shout-out for her mum and best friend.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better mum. Seeing how hard she works and the effort she puts in to what she does is so inspiring.

“I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without her and the support she shows me every day.”

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums and mother figures in our community! 🩷

One of the most impactful ways you can thank the amazing healthcare professionals of Logan Hospital for your care or the care of someone you love, is by becoming one of our beloved fundraisers.

There are so many ways that people have raised funds over the years from running marathons or other fitness events, morning teas, head shaves, birthday fundraisers and much more. It’s up to you how you choose to raise funds and we’re here to help you at every step.

If you want to raise funds for a specific area or department of the Hospital, like the paediatric ward or emergency department you can also do that.

Creating your fundraiser is as simple as heading to the link below which can also be found on our Support Logan Hospital section of our website and getting started.
