After more than a decade, GCN remains proudly independent, non-profit, and not affiliated with the Maryborough District Advertiser, the Central Goldfields Shire Council, or any other business, political, government, lobbyist or media organisation. The intended audience of this page are those residing in and around the wonderful town/city of Maryborough. This includes residents of Avoca, Alma, Amphitheatre, Bealiba, Baringhup, Bowenvale, Carisbrook, Clunes, Daisy Hill, Dunolly, Maldon, Majorca, Newstead, Talbot, Timor and the many other smaller towns we don't have the room to list. The general area we cover expands as far south as Ballarat and Creswick, as far south-west as Beaufort and Ararat, as far west as Stawell, as far north-west as St. Arnaud, as far north as Inglewood and Wedderburn, as far north-east as Bendigo, as far east as Castlemaine and Harcourt, and as far south-east as Daylesford. You're welcome to post content directly to the page wall, however due to recent changes to Facebook's algorithm, very few people will see them.
