This is great news!

Bicycle Network welcomes the announcement of an ongoing fund for active transport in this year's federal budget.

Local and state governments will be able to access the $50 million a year fund to support much-needed active transport projects, which should be a priority as people seek to cope with the cost of living crisis and climate stress.

We look forward to seeing more cycling infrastructure in communities across the country and urge state and local governments to follow the federal government in making active transport a priority.

We’re getting closer to a shovel-ready project!

Central Goldfields Shire Council gave their in-principal support to their preferred operating model of the future Castlemaine-Maryborough Rail Trail last month.
