Calling local young people 📣 We need your help!

Council is making a list of places you can cool off when it gets too hot, and we're looking for young designers to create a simple, eye-catching logo to brand Cool Spaces across the Shire!

Submit your design to our Cool Spaces logo design competition for a chance to win a double pass to Maryborough’s Paramount Cinema! 🎞🎞 Hand-drawn and digital designs are both welcome.

Open to primary and secondary school-aged students living in or around Central Goldfields. Competition closes 5pm, Wednesday September 10.

The winning logo will be used on buildings and in our campaign material to let people know where our Cool Spaces!

Come along to the Adventure Guides outdoor cooking day next Wednesday to make some tasty treats! 😋🍲

Cook up some fun at our outdoor adventure program for teens—next adventure Wednesday 9 April in Maryborough!

The Adventure Guides Skills Day will bring girls aged 14-17 together for a fun day of outdoor cooking. Girls will try out tasty recipes, develop their confidence as outdoor chefs, and connect with likeminded adventurers. 🍳👩‍🍳

The reality is that as a Council – we can’t do everything – but we want to ensure that what we do, matters.

We’re currently developing our Council Plan which sets out the key priorities that Council will focus on over the next four years.

For the first time, our Council Plan will also incorporate the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan to ensure our community’s health and wellbeing is at the centre of everything we do.

By spending a few minutes, you can help decide where we will
focus our resources and efforts to best support our community.

The first round of feedback is invited until Friday 28 March and can be provided via:
