🎉🐾 Happy Birthday, Carla! 🐾🎂

Last week, Carla celebrated her birthday in the best possible way, surrounded by some of her favourite doggy friends who came together to spend the day celebrating with her! 🥳🐶🦮

There were plenty of wagging tails, happy faces and four-legged friends enjoying the chance to catch up. What a beautiful way to celebrate another trip around the sun! 💕🎈

One of the things we absolutely love about Empower Assistance Dogs is seeing the friendships along the way. Our trainers, puppy raisers and handlers regularly come together outside of training, supporting one another, celebrating milestones and sharing in each other’s journeys.

It reminds us that Empower really is so much more than a dog training program, it’s a little community of like-minded people who genuinely care about one another and are all working together towards a very special cause. 🥰🦮

We think that’s something pretty special. 💙

What an amazing birthday bash for Betty! Was wonderful to see the different schools that have our wonderful dogs come together to celebrate Betty's birthday 😍🐾
Thank you to Redbank Plains State High School handlers with therapy dog Jack and Springfield Central State School handler with therapy dog Essie for joining in the celebration.
Big thanks to the Centenary State High School community who once again have combined Betty's birthday with an amazing fundraiser for Empower Assistance Dogs 🦮🥳

Another wonderful Tea and Tails event has come to an end as we prepare to farewell our current litter of beautiful puppies on the next stage of their journey. 🐶🐾

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers, supporters and community who came together to make the day such a success. You truly are the heart and soul, the engine room of our charity. It takes a village to breed, raise, train and place hearing, assistance and therapy dogs, and we are so grateful to have such an amazing one.

To everyone who helped with catering, setting up, welcoming guests, caring for our dogs throughout the day, and the countless jobs behind the scenes—thank you. There are simply too many wonderful people to mention individually, but please know that every contribution is valued and deeply appreciated. 🥰🦮

A special thank you to Community Bank Logan for their ongoing support of Empower Assistance Dogs and to the incredibly talented Kylie Williams from KWP Studios Flagstone for capturing these beautiful memories. Was such a lovely day yesterday at Bear Cottage with the Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick and The Children's Hospital at Westmead celebrating the placement of our Empower Therapy Dog 'Bailey' into Bear Cottage.
Bailey has been such a joy for his puppy raiser family Kylie Eden, James Eden, Bella Eden but the time had come for him to take on his working role within the Bear Cottage Team. Thanks for raising such a lovely boy Eden Family.....you did a great job!!
Huge thanks must also go to the team working behind the scenes to make this happen such as the Petbarn Foundation, Royal Canin, Zoetis, Greencross Vets, N'hay Gear. They say it takes a village and in this case, what an amazing village coming together on this project.
Bailey has now settled into his new role within the Bear Cottage team and has wonderful handlers and walkers to ensure he has the best working conditions. Nothing like a walk along the Manly foreshore as part of his environmental enrichment!! Big thanks also to his new home carer family who are already madly in love with this very special boy 😍
Good luck Bailey.....we know everyone who crosses your path will love you as much as we all do 🦮🧡🐾

Have you spotted Cash out and about lately? 🐾

Our sponsored Empower Assistance Dogs Cash is growing up fast and making great progress in his training journey.

Right now, Cash is living with his puppy raiser family while learning important public access skills that will prepare him for his future role supporting a person with disability. From visiting busy public spaces to staying calm and focused in different environments, every outing helps build the confidence and skills he'll need as an assistance dog.

Before long, Cash will return to Empower Assistance Dogs HQ for advanced training, taking him one step closer to being matched with his future handler.

We're proud to support Empower Assistance Dogs and follow Cash's journey as he works towards changing someone's life for the better.
