Today our Central Logan Steering Group caught up to reflect on the launch of Voice Collection at World of Cultures and what we learnt from being out in community.

The biggest takeaway was clear — community really wants to talk! We’re now focused on building on that momentum, strengthening our connections and creating more opportunities to listen to the voices that will help shape our Central Logan Collective Plan.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀!

The Central Logan Focus Community came together at World of Cultures — and we came ready to listen. 👂💛

World of Cultures is such an amazing opportunity for our community. It brings together people from so many different cultures, backgrounds and communities, creating a space to connect, celebrate, learn from each other — and share what matters to us.

We were able to have many conversations with children, families and community members about their hopes, dreams, what’s getting in the way and what they think we could do differently.

There were SO many great chats. People wanted to talk. They wanted to share. And they wanted to be part of shaping what happens next in their community.

For us, this was a huge step in our 1000 Voices journey — moving beyond simply talking about community voice and actually creating the spaces to hear it.

World of Cultures was our launch into voice collection, and what a launch it was!

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀.

Now we get to listen, learn and turn those voices into action.

If you’re a young father or know someone who might benefit, SSI is running “Good Dads: Learn, Connect, Grow” for young men from multicultural communities.

The program offers a supportive space to connect with other fathers, share experiences, learn about parenting and build positive relationships with children and the community.

📍 Logan & South Brisbane region
👨‍👧‍👦 For young men aged 18–35
🤝 Sessions are designed to be safe, interactive and supportive.
