WE’RE HIRING – SENIOR BAR ATTENDANT

Lenah Valley RSL is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Bar Attendant to join our team!

This is a part time position offering a minimum of 20 hours per week.

To lead and coordinate food and beverage operations with the club, ensuring high standards of service, compliance and team performance. The Level 5 attendant is expected to supervise staff, manage service areas, and perform advanced duties requiring a high level of skills and responsibility.

What we’re looking for:

✅ Previous bar or hospitality experience (min 2 years)
✅ Excellent customer service skills
✅ Confident working in a busy environment
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✅ Reliable, professional and well-presented
✅ RSA & Responsible Gaming qualifications
✅ Someone who can take responsibility and help lead our bar team

From its home at 188 Lenah Valley Road, the Lenah Valley RSL Club has remained a welcoming local institution, supporting former and serving Australian Defence Force members while also providing a place for friendship, hospitality, commemorative activity and community connection.

Over the years, it has helped uphold the traditions of Anzac Day, Remembrance Day and other commemorations, reflecting the broader role of RSL Tasmania in supporting ceremonies, veterans and Defence families with a keen eye on local community involvement.

The 80th anniversary celebration in 2026 brought together members, long-serving supporters, relatives of founding members, representatives from other sub-branches and civic and RSL leaders. The occasion recognised not only the club’s longevity, but also the volunteer effort and community spirit that have sustained it across generations.
That long record of Service, ongoing renewal and community involvement reached a fitting milestone on Wednesday evening, when the Lenah Valley RSL was awarded the Tasmanian Ex-Service or RSL Club of the Year, a proud recognition of its enduring commitment to veterans, members, families and the local Lenah Valley community.
A conspicuous mention goes to Peter Dane for his nomination as the Clubs Tasmania volunteer of the year, we all know that Peter’s commitment to our club is only a drop in the ocean of what he has done in the wider community over many years.

Yesterday Clubs Tasmania announced their 2026 Club Awards. The Lenah Valley RSL won the RSL Club of the Year 2026. Also congratulations to our club stalwart Peter Dane who came runner up in RSL Volunteer of the year 2026.
