10 Rovers from Wellington, Eastern Shore, Kingborough and Leven Rover units sailed across Lake St Clair following the Branch AGM between 6-7 June 2026.
While the weather was on the cold, and wetter side, great fun was had by all as we sailed to our campsite under Mt Ida. Snow on Mount Olympus was a gorgeous sight as we woke on Sunday, preparing for what would be one straight run all the way back to Cynthia Bay.

Congratulations to our Tasmanian Rovers who received awards at the 2026 Scouts Tasmania Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The State AGM gave the opportunity for two Rovers, Evan Eastman-Peck and Luke Brydon to MC the evening. We are extremely proud of Evan and Luke for representing Rovers and helping to demonstrate how youth lead in Scouting.

The following are awards received by Rover section members:
Special Service Award presented to Ben Deer of Leven Rovers, Evan Eastman-Peck of Kingborough Rovers and Luke Bosworth of Wellington Rovers
Meritorious Service Award presented to Leon Williamson-Roberts of Northern Area Rovers
Silver Koala Award presented to Paul Leitch, for Distinguished Service to Scouts Australia for 14-16 years
35 Years of Service presented to Glenn Maddock, State Rover Advisor and Kingborough Rover Advisor

Congratulations to Rover award recipients and to the all other members that were recognised for their significant service to Scouting.

Today, Rovers from all across the state attended a range of ANZAC Day ceremonies across Tasmania.
ANZAC Day, is an opportunity to honour the courage and enduring spirit of the Australians and New Zealanders who paid the ultimate sacrifice to serve their nation's. From dawn to dusk, we will remember them.

Each year, Scouts across Australia come together for ANZAC Day ceremonies, paying tribute to those who served. On this day, we reflect on their courage, resilience, and spirit of camaraderie, acknowledging the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy.
