Have you ever wished you could be part of a Rovers but can’t get to a physical Unit?

We're looking at starting a Tasmanian Lone Rover Unit for Rovers who are geographically isolated or don't have access to a local Unit.

Members would have the opportunity to attend Rover camps, events, and activities throughout the year to connect with the wider Rover community in person.

Lone groups in other states and countries have shown that online Rovering can be a great way to stay involved, make friends, and create new opportunities for adventure and development.

Before we go any further, we'd love to hear from you!

• Would you be interested in joining a Tasmanian Lone Rover Unit?
• What types of activities would you like to see?
• When do you think it should happen?

Drop your thoughts in the comments, send us a message or let us know by filling out the form found in the comments.

Your feedback will help shape what our Tasmanian Lone Rover Unit could look like.

❄️ Keeping busy this snowy season at Winter Moot 2026 ❄️

Wellington hosted this year's Winter Moot down south. With all the snow and rain this cold season, it was the perfect opportunity to take out the rafts to the Nive River!

On 1st August in 1907, the first scout camp was conducted at Brownsea Island. It ran from 1st to 8th of August. The 1st of August has become known as World Scarf Day.

10 Rovers from Wellington, Eastern Shore, Kingborough and Leven Rover units sailed across Lake St Clair following the Branch AGM between 6-7 June 2026.

While the weather was on the cold, and wetter side, great fun was had by all as we sailed to our campsite under Mt Ida. Snow on Mount Olympus was a gorgeous sight as we woke on Sunday, preparing for what would be one straight run all the way back to Cynthia Bay.
