KNA is looking to enter a 17U Girls team (DOB 2008 & 2009) in the upcoming KNA Carnival, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October.

𝐊𝐍𝐀 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐘 𝐃𝐎𝐆 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐒 - STNA Carnival 🍦

KNA is proud to be one of the recipients of The Salty Dog Hotel’s Junior Grassroots Sporting Club Program, through their Frosty Dog Frozen Yoghurt business.

Through this wonderful initiative, one athlete from each of our KNA Representative Teams is recognised at each carnival and receives a $10 Frosty Dog Frozen Yoghurt voucher.

The Frosty Dog Award is about more than performance on the court. It recognises the athletes who lead by example and demonstrate the qualities that make great teammates and role models:

💙🏐 KNA REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS – STNA CARNIVAL WRAP-UP 🏐💙

It’s hard to believe it’s nearly a week since our KNA Representative teams took to the courts at the STNA Carnival last Sunday! 💙🏐

Our teams enjoyed another fantastic day of netball, teamwork and competition. The weather held out for us, which made the day even more enjoyable, and it was certainly nice to have a carnival closer to home and not have to travel too far this time! 😄

A big thank you to Southern Tasmanian Netball Association (STNA) for hosting another wonderful carnival and providing such a great day for our players, coaches, umpires and families.

As always, a huge thank you to all our KNA coaches and umpires, and to parents and families for your ongoing support. Your time, commitment and support of our players throughout the representative season is greatly appreciated. 💙

Congratulations to all our KNA teams on another fantastic carnival and for continuing to represent our Association so proudly. The comments from our coaches about the teamwork, encouragement and support shown by our players throughout the day were wonderful to hear and are such an important part of representative netball.

KNA is very proud to celebrate the fantastic results achieved by our teams and congratulations to KNA 12 Sky, who made the Grand Final and won in their first carnival of the year. To KNA 13U, who are having a wonderful year at the carnivals, taking out yet another Grand Final – well done! Lastly, to KNA 15U, well done on making the Grand Final. The score could have gone either way; it just wasn’t KNA’s way this time. 💙🤍🩵

With the Club roster still going and finals approaching, KNA wishes our teams the best of luck.

Next on the agenda for carnivals is the final carnival of the 2026 representative season — our very own KNA Carnival! 🏐

KNA is excited to welcome new and returning schools and teams to our 2026 Primary School Spring Roster! 🏐💙

Season dates:

📅 Starts: Monday 14 September 2026

📅 Final games: Monday 30 November 2026

🏐 Grades 3/4 and Grades 5/6
The Spring Roster will run for 10 rounds.

⏸️ No games during school holidays:
5 & 12 October 2026

Finals:

🏐Grades 3/4 – no Grand Final (season concludes 30 November)

🏐Grades 5/6 – Grand Finals & final ladder placement games on 30 November

Teams can include players of any s*x or gender identity – there are no restrictions.

⏱️ Game times:

(depending on team entries)

• Grades 3/4: 4:10–5:00pm & 5:00–6:00pm

• Grades 5/6: 5:00–6:00pm & 6:00–7:00pm

📍 Games are played on the KNA outdoor courts, with some matches played indoors at Kingborough Sports Centre.

📝 Team registrations:

Schools / Coaches / Team Managers are required to register their team through PlayHQ. Once the team has been registered, a registration link will be provided to forward to parents/guardians so they can register and pay for their player.

⏰ Team entries close: 5:00pm Monday 31 August 2026

⚠️ Places are limited due to court availability. Registrations may close earlier if capacity is reached, so please register your team early.

💳 All players must be registered & paid by Friday 11 September 2026.

Players will not be permitted to take the court unless their registration has been completed and fees paid.

Eligible Tasmanian children can receive 2 x vouchers worth up to $100 each to help towards registration costs.

Umpires:

🏐 Grades 3/4 – teams must supply their own umpire. Unfortunately, due to limited umpire availability, KNA is unable to provide umpires for Grade 3/4 matches.

🏐 Grades 5/6 – KNA may assist teams unable to source their own umpire, subject to availability.

⚠️ Reminder – NO JEWELLERY ON COURT

To ensure all players are able to take the court, please remember:

❌No earrings or piercings – these cannot be taped
❌No hair beads, hair clips or headbands
❌No Apple Watches, Fitbits or other fitness trackers – including under sweatbands
✅ Nails must be short and smooth

Coaches are responsible for ensuring players have removed jewellery before the game and should not leave this to the umpires.

Players who refuse to remove jewellery will not be permitted to play.

NOTE: Jewellery cannot be covered with tape. This is a Netball Australia regulation which KNA is required to follow.
