headspace Katherine is a youth health service for young people. If you are a young person aged betwee

headspace Katherine is an inclusive service which does not discriminate regardless of race, cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, gender, or disability. Our location is also accessible to people living with a disability. Young people can easily refer themselves or make an appointment by visiting headspace Katherine. Referrals can also be made through trusted family members or careers

or through your normal GP. A referral form can be downloaded from the headspace Katherine website https://headspace.org.au/headspace-centres/katherine/

For young people that require appointments outside of normal business hours, headspace Katherine offers after hour appointments upon request and can be discussed during time of booking. headspace Katherine Community Engagement team can be booked in to attend local events, as well as deliver mental health education and workshops. We can be booked for events outside of working hours and on weekends upon request. Happy International Youth Day!

Every year on the 12th of August, International Youth Day is celebrated to highlight the achievements, resilience, and power of young people across the globe.

The theme this year is "Different Contexts, Common Aspirations." It recognises that while young people experience different national and local realities, they share common goals for dignity, fair employment, education, and a sustainable future.

Young people are drivers of change and innovation. By ensuring every young person has the opportunities they need to thrive, we create a better future for everyone.

Last Friday, Hannah and Zoe were welcomed to a cultural day at Jilkminggan School with their visitors from Emanuel School in Sydney.

It was a great day to share culture and learn about the long-standing partnership between the two schools.

Thank you so much for having us. The damper, fish and kangaroo tail were delicious!

Last week, we joined headspace Darwin and Palmerston and attended the 2026 headspace Forum. It was a busy week of connecting with and learning from our peers across the headspace Network.

A special thank you to our Youth Advisory Group representative, Eloise, for joining us at the Forum. Eloise threw herself into the experience, building meaningful connections with other YAG members from across the country. We loved having you as part of the team.
