Too often, people are defined by the challenges they face rather than the strengths they possess.

At The Pink Door, we choose to see the person, not the problems.

Every woman who walks through our doors brings with her courage, resilience, wisdom, and the capacity to overcome adversity. While life’s challenges may shape part of a person’s journey, they do not define who they are.

We are continually inspired by the strength of women who rise above difficult circumstances, support one another, and take steps toward brighter futures. Their stories remind us that resilience is not about never struggling—it is about finding the strength to keep moving forward.

Today, we celebrate the incredible women in our community. We see your strengths. We value your experiences. We honour your resilience.

Because every woman deserves to be seen for who she is, not what she has been through.

We look forward to welcoming you through the pink door - [email protected]

💗 Strength. Courage. Resilience. Hope. 💗

🌸 Wildflowers – More Than Just a Group 🌸

At The Pink Door, Wildflowers is about connection, support, laughter, and creating a space where women feel they belong. The feedback we hear reminds us just how important this community has become:

💜 “I have to attend Wildflowers each Friday – my sanity depends on it!”

💜 “I really don’t like to miss Wildflowers – I need that social connection in my life.”

Wildflowers is a place where friendships grow, confidence builds, and no one has to feel alone. Whether you’re looking to connect with others, share experiences, learn something new, or simply enjoy being part of a welcoming community – there is a place for you here.

If you’ve been thinking about coming along, this is your sign 💐

Come join us each Friday and become part of our Wildflowers community because together, we grow stronger 🌸

As Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month comes to an end, we reflect on a month dedicated to raising awareness, strengthening connections and continuing the conversation that violence should never be tolerated in our community.

This month has seen many important milestones, including the opening of The Pink Door, providing another safe and welcoming space for women seeking support. We have also been proud to have our CALD specialist presenting, sharing knowledge and advocating for culturally responsive support, while our team connected with services and community members through networking stalls and participation in the DFV Forum.

We were honoured to stand alongside our community at the candle lighting memorial ceremony, remembering those impacted by domestic and family violence and reinforcing why this work matters every single day.

While DFV Prevention Month may be ending, our commitment is not. We remain focused on continuing conversations, challenging attitudes, supporting women and children, and working together towards lasting change.

Together, we can end domestic and family violence. 💜

Today on National Sorry Day, we pause to acknowledge and reflect on the pain, loss and ongoing impacts experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We honour the strength, resilience and courage of survivors, their families and communities, and recognise the importance of truth telling, healing and reconciliation.

We stand together in respect, compassion and commitment to creating a future built on understanding, connection and hope for all.

🚨AN IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE – NATIONAL ALERT TEST 🚨

At 2:00pm AEST on Monday, July 27, 2026, phones across Australia will sound a loud emergency alert tone and display a message.

While this is only a test of the new AusAlert system, it’s important to recognise that this could pose a risk for people experiencing domestic and family violence — especially those with a hidden or “safe” phone.

What does this mean for you?
If you have a safe phone hidden, plan ahead to reduce any risk to your safety, by turning it off or leaving it somewhere safe like with a trusted person.

⚠️ What you need to know:
• The alert will sound loudly and vibrate
• It will override silent and “do not disturb” settings
• It may still come through if the phone is turned back on shortly after.
• Keep your phone off for up to 1 hour after this time

Your safety matters. For more information visit:

🌸 Volunteer’s Week Appreciation 🌸

This Volunteer’s Week, we would like to acknowledge the many unspoken heroes behind WCSSI and The Pink Door. To every person who fundraises, donates essential items, gives their time, shares their skills, and stands beside us in support of women and children — thank you.

Your kindness, generosity and commitment make an incredible difference every single day. Because of your support, we are able to continue providing safe spaces, practical assistance, hope and empowerment to women and children in our community.

The impact you make often happens quietly behind the scenes, but it never goes unnoticed. We are truly grateful for every donation, every hour volunteered, every conversation shared and every act of compassion.

Together, we are building stronger communities and changing lives. 💜
