Bringing expertise across construction, trades, design, workforce development, leadership and advocacy, our panel reflects the diverse perspectives shaping Tasmania's building and construction industry.

An award-winning electrician and Energy Optimisation Specialist, Chey advocates for women in trades through mentoring and strengthening sustainable career pathways.

JANE VALENTINE | Valentine Interiors

With over 30 years of industry experience, Jane is a multi award-winning interior designer and recognised industry leader, dedicated to design excellence, education and mentoring the next generation of designers.

KARRYN DARGIE | IN-TERIA

An award-winning interior and building designer with over 30 years of experience, Karryn champions sustainable design and adaptive reuse. She received the 2025 NAWIC Tasmania Contribution to Design Award.

KATE JOHNSTONE | Sexual Assault Support Service

With over 15 years of leadership and education experience, Kate advocates for safer, more respectful and inclusive workplaces through prevention and organisational change.

NAOMI WALKER | Apprenticeship Support Australia

With over 20 years of experience in workforce development, Naomi champions apprenticeships, mentoring and industry pathways. She received the 2024 NAWIC Tasmania Crystal Vision Award.

CATHERINE LOPPY | Macquarie Point Development Corporation

A project manager, entrepreneur and award-winning author, Catherine advocates for community leadership, mentoring and empowering the next generation.

Together, our judges bring invaluable experience and perspective to recognising excellence across Tasmania's construction industry.

We're thrilled to welcome Dr Polly McGee back as Master of Ceremonies for the 2026 NAWIC Tasmania Awards for Excellence.

We caught up with Polly for a few quick questions ahead of the big night, covering everything from industrial-strength lip balm to the moments that make the Awards so special.

And if anyone can arrange a crane to carry Polly across the stage for a rendition of Kylie's On a Night Like This, they're apparently taking requests.

All jokes aside, Polly can't wait to celebrate the incredible people and achievements shaping Tasmania's construction industry.
