On Sunday 1 November 2026 the Croatian Club Adelaide was proud to take part in the 2026 Multicultural Festival in Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga!

Despite the rain, it was fantastic to see such big crowds come out to celebrate our city’s cultural diversity. Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and stopped by Stall 1 to enjoy our Croatian food.

It was also wonderful to see HFS Lenek Adelaide performing on the main stage, proudly sharing our folklore and traditions with the crowds.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers, from those who prepared the food in the days leading up to the festival, to everyone who set up, cooked, served and packed down on the day, rain and all. Your hard work and dedication truly is the backbone of our community. Puno hvala! ❤️

Thank you also to Multicultural Affairs SA for hosting such a vibrant and welcoming event.

Here are the highlights from the day! 📸

Dušni Dan: All Souls’ Day 🕯️

Today, 2 November, we observe Dušni Dan (All Souls’ Day), a day set aside in the Catholic tradition to pray for the souls of the faithful departed.

Following Svi Sveti, families continue to visit the graves of their loved ones, lay flowers and light candles in their memory.

Today we remember all those who are no longer with us, and hold them close in our hearts.

Svi Sveti: All Saints’ Day 🕯️

Today, 1 November, Croatians around the world celebrate Svi Sveti (All Saints’ Day), a Catholic feast honouring all the saints, and a public holiday in Croatia.

Today we honour all the saints, known and unknown, whose faith and example continue to guide us.

It is also a day of remembrance. Families traditionally visit the graves of their loved ones, lay flowers and light candles.
