Brompton Community Garden

Brompton Community Garden Community Garden on Kaurna Land in Brompton, South Australia, with membership open to residents of the Hindmarsh Ward of the City of Charles Sturt.

Brompton Community Garden is located in the heart of Brompton on Green Street. We have an active group of members who enjoy gardening and the socialising it brings. We hold working bees, open days and fund raising events. We're grateful for the support of the Charles Sturt Council. The garden has 46 plots in total (most are 5m x 3m). Our members lease plots on an annual basis and membership is ope

The final ground works have been completed and the paving will re-commence on Monday. They will be finishing with the western side of the garden, so access will be limited until the paths have cured. Bollards will be in place where access is restricted. Thank you for your ongoing patience- the end is in sight!

Rain has beaten us again 😩 however there are signs of progress, and the paths on the western side of the garden are now open so you can access to your plots. Check out the new, accessible, entrance to the green house.

The ground works on the eastern side will hopefully be finished by the end of the week, and the pavers will return next week.

Progress is being made on the paths, but there is a slight change in the plan. They will be working today and tomorrow to complete the paths on the western side of the garden. Access to all plots on that side of the garden and the greenhouse will be restricted until Monday when the path will be dry enough to walk on. Thank you for your ongoing patience. The end is in sight!
