The Blue Mountains is bursting with incredible local theatre, between Blackheath Theatre Company, Glenbrook Players, and ourselves – 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 based in the mid-Blue Mountains.

As we head into the second half of 2026, we encourage our wonderful community to grab a ticket, get along to a show, and support the passionate performers, directors, creatives, backstage teams, front-of-house volunteers, and everyone who helps keep live community theatre thriving across the Mountains.

Proudly working together to support, collaborate and grow the love for locally produced theatre through the lower, middle and upper Blue Mountains of NSW - with our fellow community theatre groups Blackheath Theatre Company and Glenbrook Players.

🎭 A special moment for Blue Mountains community theatre! 🎭

On 20 July 2026, the presidents of three of the Blue Mountains’ much-loved drama theatre companies came together in one frame at the Grand View Hotel for a theatre collaboration meeting.

Representing their groups were John Forbes, President of Glenbrook Players; Louise Pratt, President of Blackheath Theatre Company; and Andrew Smith, President of The Brook Community Theatre.

It was wonderful to see these three local theatre leaders meeting in person to share ideas, strengthen connections, and explore ways each company can continue supporting and celebrating theatre across the Blue Mountains.

Today is the last scheduled audition for our upcoming community theatre production of 𝗔 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁'𝘀 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺!

Please email [email protected] or message for an audition pack, and come along between 4-6pm at the rear of Mechanics Institute Lawson to meet us and read some script excerpts 🙂.

𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 for our next production 𝗔 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁'𝘀 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 will be held this 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟵 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 (4-6pm), the following 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟭 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 (6-8pm) and 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟲 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 (4-6pm) at Mechanics Institute Lawson.

Anyone interested in being (or becoming) involved in local community theatre in the mid-mountains are very welcome to come along and either audition for on-stage roles or express interest in roles such as crew, staging, lighting and sound or front of house! 🙂

Being a small part of the Springwood Lights Up event last Saturday was a lot of fun! Thanks Norman Lindsay Gallery & Museum for having us bring The Magic Pudding characters to life, and to Blue Mountains City Council for pulling together a great community event.

For anyone heading to the free Springwood Lights Up event tonight, between 5-6pm you can catch members of The Brook bringing The Magic Pudding characters to life (courtesy Norman Lindsay Gallery & Museum) and reciting some Pudding Poems in the town square (next to Priceline)!
