Location: Based at Station Street, Harcourt

ABOUT THE ROLE
This position requires a fundamental understanding of the role of community organisations (particularly in the context of Neighbourhood House settings), proven organisational ability with experience of leading and managing a community organisation, a command of community development principles and skills, and an ability to develop and communicate policy and to advocate for the local community.

THANK YOU
The HVCH Standing Committee would like to thank the Boomtown Winery and Bistro for their extraordinary gift to HVCH of $89,352.00, from their fundraising efforts on 11th January, two days after the fire. This donation was in recognition that the Community House will play a vital role of recovery for our community in the months and years to come. Community Houses, all over the state of Victoria have had a significant role in community recovery from similar disasters of fire or flood. While we continue to lobby for ongoing, recurrent funding from government (through the Neighbourhood House Coordination Program or NHCP), the Standing Committee are delighted be able to spend some of the Boomtown funds on the employment of a Manager, making HVCH more accessible for the whole community.
