It’s time to Get Fire Ready! 🔥🚒

Get Fire Ready is happening at our brigade, and we’re opening our doors to help you prepare. Drop by the station, chat with our friendly volunteers, and get clear, practical advice on what you need to do before the fire season hits.
You’ll walk away with the knowledge and confidence to protect what matters most.

✨ 2026 PRESENTATION NIGHT ✨

This year’s presentation night was extra special for our brigade.

Like every year, we had multiple members of our brigade receive service awards for their hard working effort to our brigade.
This year we congratulate the following members

🚒 DAVID LAUGHT - 5 years
🚒 MATT FREDERICK - 10 years
🚒 ANDREW WILSON - 45 years
🚒 MAY WILSON - 50 years
🚒 RON EVERETT - 55 years

For the first time, we had every single firefighter attend our presentation night, combining to around 800 years of service to the CFA.

To recognise our wonderful retiring firefighters, we will now honour those who have served the Harcourt Fire Brigade for over 50 years of service as firefighters.

Retiring members will now receive their wildfire helmets mounted with plaques to recognise their outstanding achievements to our brigade and the community.

This year, we recognise Ron Everett (55 years) and Peter Wilson (67 years) for their combined 122 years of service.

Ron Everett
For more than half a century, Ron has given his time, skills and commitment to the brigade and the community. 55 years is an exceptional achievement, reflecting not only longevity but loyalty, resilience and a sustained willingness to serve.
Ron’s contribution has made our brigade stronger. The experience and values passed from long-serving members to newer volunteers are among the brigade's greatest assets. We sincerely thank Ron for everything he has given across the 55 years he served with us.

Peter Wilson
67 years represents generations of service: countless call-outs, training sessions, meetings, community events and changes in equipment, methods and leadership. Throughout all those years, the essential purpose has remained – protecting the community and supporting fellow volunteers. Peter’s contribution forms part of the history and character of this brigade. His knowledge and dedication have helped shape those who followed. We offer our deepest gratitude and respect to Peter for his outstanding contribution to our brigade.

A huge thank you to those at the Harcourt Bowling Club who hosted the evening.

AusAlert is a new national warning system that uses the latest technology to send emergency messages to compatible mobile devices during local and national disasters. AusAlert messages keep communities informed so they can take action, saving lives and property.
The AusAlert system will be tested nationally with Victorian testing to take place at 2pm.
