Last meeting President Lou presented Karen from Ronald McDonald House North Australia with $500. This will go towards items for their hospitality cart on the Children's Ward at the Townsville Hospital.

Speaking of the THHS, Past President Wendy accepted an invitation from Brighter Lives Townsville Hospital Foundation to their inaugural thank you event. Our Club donated the $20,000 raised at 2025's Derby Day event to purchase desperately needed Parent Beds in the Children Ward. Joined by Wendy were members of Rotary Club of Townsville who continue to give generously toward cancer research and equipment. Also in attendance were other organisations we partner with such as selectability & Sharehouse Youth Programs.

At our regular breakfast meeting last Wednesday Nadya our outbound Rotary Youth Exchange -D9560 Student shared her exciting news of heading to Belgium in November!

How exciting Nadya!🇧🇪 👏

Marie & Lou then headed to Cic Townsville for their networking meeting.

President Lou collected our 10 Shelterbags from PACK & SEND Australia. Pack and Send very kindly shipped them up from Brisbane at no cost to our club!! We are so grateful to Pack and Send Townsville for their kindness 🙏

These Shelterbags will be delivered to people who find themselves without a roof over their head.

Rotary Saints were in full swing this weekend with a number of events taking place.
Firstly the NQ Field Days was a huge success and well done to the Saints team. 🙌 💖

Townsville Rotary Saints were proud to support the HopeStars 7th DV Fundraising Event at the Brothers Leagues Club for their annual fundraiser yesterday. The focus of the day was on Hope in a suitcase Australia - North Qld region which is a non-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers and the generosity of people in the community.
As the founder Rachael Clancy states “Every child, every day, no matter what, deserves to feel loved, safe and hopeful”.

Rotary Saints had donated over $750 worth of items last December and we continue our ongoing support for hope in a suitacase 🎒🧢👕
It was an afternoon filled with inspiring speakers, awesome company, great food and loads of raffles. For anyone wanting further information here is the website:

Last but certainly not least was the Cowboys Leagues Club Cowboys Charity Raffle 🎟️There was $659 worth of tickets sold with 75% coming back to our club to give to the community!!! 💰 . Awesome result and great work Rotary Club of Townsville Saints.
