Sangeet-e-Mehfil – A Celebration of Music, Culture & Community.

What a truly unforgettable evening it was!

GOPIO Gold Coast extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for Sangeet-e-Mehfil—an evening where music, culture, friendship and community came together in perfect harmony.

A very special thank you to Vatsal Thakar and Pranav Paudel for their soulful performances that captivated every heart. Their passion, artistry and beautiful melodies created an unforgettable musical experience that perfectly reflected the spirit of the evening.

One of the highlights of the evening was recognising three outstanding volunteers for their selfless service and exceptional contributions to GOPIO Gold Coast over the past year. We were proud to honour Dr Sidd Sarmah, Mrs Rashi Khosla and Mrs Ranjitha Shenoy for their unwavering commitment, dedication and invaluable support. Their service exemplifies the true spirit of community volunteering.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to Jyoti and Bharat, owners of Tandoori and Curry Hut, for their warm hospitality and the delicious four-course banquet. The exceptional quality of the food, attentive service and welcoming atmosphere received wonderful compliments from our guests.

A special thank you to Mrs Namita Wadhwa Secretary of GOPIO Gold Coast, for graciously hosting the evening as Master of Ceremonies. Her warmth, professionalism and engaging presence ensured the programme flowed seamlessly and contributed greatly to the success of the event.

Our heartfelt thanks also go to our generous sponsors, dedicated volunteers, committee members and everyone who worked hard behind the scenes.

Finally, thank you to every guest who attended and shared this special evening with us. Your presence, enthusiasm and encouragement continue to strengthen our community and inspire us to create more opportunities to celebrate our rich cultural heritage and foster meaningful connections.

🧘‍♀️✨ International Yoga Day 2026 — what a morning! ✨🧘‍♂️

On 21st June, CGI Brisbane and GOPIO Gold Coast came together at the beautiful Broadwater Parklands to celebrate the gift of yoga — mind, body and community in perfect balance. 🌅

From sunrise stretches to shared laughter, it was a beautiful reminder of how movement and mindfulness bring people together across cultures. Grateful for every soul who rolled out a mat and joined us for this special morning of wellness and connection. 🙏

A huge thank you to CGI Brisbane for partnering with us to make this event possible, and to everyone who showed up early to make it such a memorable celebration.
Here's to more moments of stillness, strength and community. Namaste 🕉️
