Meet Nugget, one of our most trusted horses at VRDA.

At 20 years old, this gentle chestnut gelding has spent the last 9 years helping riders build confidence with his calm, steady nature. From carrying some of our highest-needs riders to showing off his big personality and even bigger appetite, Nugget is loved by everyone who meets him.

Every ride at VRDA is powered by a dedicated team working behind the scenes to create a safe, supportive and confidence-building experience for our riders. From trained horses and coaches to volunteers and side walkers, it truly takes a community to make each session possible.

Ride with Valley Riding Develops Abilities! We currently have Friday morning availability for children and young adults to join our therapeutic horse riding program. Through weekly riding sessions, participants can build confidence, coordination, mobility and meaningful social connection, all while enjoying time with our incredible horses and supportive community.

At Valley Riding Develops Abilities, we’re proud to provide accredited therapeutic horse riding programs that support children and young adults with disabilities. With purpose-built facilities, dedicated coaches and incredible horses, it’s our passionate volunteers who make it all possible.
