Nungeena Aboriginal Corporation For Women's Business Nungeena was formed in 1992, by a group of community minded women, who applied for funding to purchase the property where the organisation is located.

Events Email - [email protected] The land was significant to our founding mothers because of its location to Mt Beerwah, the mother mountain of the Glass House Mountains group. They acknowledged the spiritual significance of the land to women and immediately began to

dream about the possibilites and changes that the land could make for women in the community. Nungeena acknowledges and respects the Traditional Custodians of the land and its waterways on which we are situated. Nungeena honours the Ancestors and Elders past and present.

Last week was a big week for Nungeena Corporation, we would like to thank Hazelle Mace & her amazing active members/volunteers for hosting an facilitating a fantastic event for Anglicare Caboolture staff of 22 people, for their team building culture heritage day along with a wonderful luncheon. Nungeena would also like to say a big thank you to our two beautiful facilitators Trudy Lowe who ran her brilliant clay building workshop & Valerie Murray who ran her wonderful weaving workshop on the day. The Anglicare staff & manager left feeling very happy, thankful & their cups were filled. It was such a great day & opportunity for everyone on the day and Nungeena would like to say thank you to everyone who came together to make this day possible & a very special experience for all who attended.

Nungeena would like to thank brother Traf & Jason for fixing the disability ramp at the Yumba, you guys did an awesome job. Also thank you to Jason & Jarapa for doing up our driveway with the bobcat that we hired for the day. You guys are absolutely awesome & we appreciate your help with all the heavy duty work that needs doing at Nungeena’s. Job well done on maintaining our beautiful space 🙏🏾👍🏾👌🏾😉
