Restored is closed today and Wednesday the 27th of May so that our wonderful volunteer team can come together and prepare for the winter season.
We are so incredibly blessed and grateful for every one of our volunteers — from our team leaders, to the ladies serving on the shop floor, and those faithfully working behind the scenes washing, sorting, steaming and preparing the many generous donations we receive each week. We truly could not do this without you. 💞
“Restored” was created with a heart to restore dignity and hope to people. A place where our community can come in and enjoy a beautiful, welcoming shopping experience without feeling overwhelmed searching through piles to find something special.
We love creating a space where people can find beautiful secondhand clothing, shoes and homewares in excellent condition, along with affordable brand-new fashion jewellery — all at a fraction of the cost of many other stores.
Why? Because we genuinely care for our community and want to help where we can.
Restored was created to be a blessing.
And what makes it even more special is that 100% of the money raised through Restored goes directly into “Our Pantry” — helping provide free bread, pantry items, fresh fruit and vegetables Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays and from Christmas Day to New Year’s Day) through our partnership with SecondBite.
We also provide free food parcels to individuals and families who may be doing it tough and simply need a helping hand during a difficult season.
Every single one of our Restored girls volunteers their time. Not one cent raised goes toward wages, administration or anything else — it goes straight back into purchasing groceries and supporting the food parcels that are freely given throughout the year.
We have been so encouraged by the many customers who tell us that Restored is a lovely store where they feel valued and welcomed, and where they appreciate finding beautiful, clean, quality clothing and shoes at affordable prices. We have also often been told that we are one of the most affordable secondhand shops in Geraldton and the Midwest — and that is intentional.
We are not here to make profits. We are here to be a blessing.
So the next time you visit Restored, we kindly ask that our volunteers are treated with kindness, patience and respect. These beautiful women serve from the goodness of their hearts and do their absolute best to create a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through the doors. A smile, encouragement and kindness go a very long way. 💞
