Share Your Story – Be Our Next SWAN Family Voice

Every SWAN family has a story worth sharing. By being featured in our newsletter, you can help other families feel seen, understood, and a little less alone on their journey.

It’s also a chance to celebrate your child and the strength, love, and resilience that exists within our community.

If you’d like to be this month’s SWAN Family Voice, we’d love to hear from you.

This is more than an organisation. It’s a lifeline.

“S.W.A.N connects and unites us all with care and compassion… it brings peace to know we’re not alone in a world where we struggle to find a place to belong.”
– Sarah (SWAN Mum)

Right now, that lifeline is at risk of disappearing within weeks.

1,200+ families could lose the only place they feel understood.

We are at risk of losing SWAN Australia within weeks.

And with it, the only community many families have.

“As a SWAN grandpa, I felt pretty alone — no one really got it, especially other grandpas. SWAN Cobbers changed that.”

– Brad (SWAN Grandpa)

This is what’s at stake.

Real people finally finding connection and at risk of losing it just as quickly.

If we close, that support disappears.

This is urgent.

SWAN Australia may not survive the next few weeks.

Families across Australia are already navigating hospitals, uncertainty, and life-limiting diagnoses, without answers. SWAN is the one place they turn to for support, connection, and hope.

If we close, that lifeline is gone.

We don’t have time to wait. We need action today.

SAVE SWAN AUSTRALIA

For so many families, SWAN is the first place they feel seen, understood, and not alone.

When your child is undiagnosed… when answers are hard to find… when the journey feels overwhelming — SWAN is there. Connecting families. Sharing knowledge. Walking alongside you every step of the way.

We’ve helped families find diagnoses.
We’ve connected parents who were once completely alone.
We’ve built a community that truly understands what it means to live a rare life.

But right now… SWAN is at real risk of closing due to a lack of funding.

And the truth is — if we lose SWAN, there is nothing else like it in Australia.

This isn’t just an organisation.
It’s a lifeline.
It’s a community.
It’s hope.

💛 We need your help.

If you can:
• Donate
• Tag someone who might be able to support

SWAN Australia is at risk of closing within weeks.

We are the only organisation in the country supporting families living with undiagnosed and rare genetic conditions, families raising children without answers, without clear pathways, and often without support.

Right now, over 1,200 families rely on SWAN.

If we close, that support disappears.
No connection.
No guidance.
No community.

We can’t let that happen.

SAVE Syndromes Without A Name (SWAN) Australia: Help us continue to provide support to 1,200 families of children with an undiagnosed or rare genetic conditions

We never thought we would be writing this.

Right now, SWAN is almost out of funding and we face the reality of closing our doors. Not in a few months. It’s a matter of weeks.

SWAN supports over 1,200 families across Australia. We help them navigate undiagnosed and very rare conditions - providing peer support, connection, and advocacy. For many of these children there’s no clear pathway, no roadmap, and often for their families there is nowhere else to turn.

So, SWAN is not just a service. It’s a lifeline.
