ROUND 9 – THIS SATURDAY AT WWPNA! 🏐

We're back for another exciting Saturday of netball as Round 9 takes to the courts at Woy Woy Peninsula Netball Association.

Whether you're playing, coaching, umpiring, volunteering or supporting from the sidelines, we look forward to welcoming everyone for another fantastic day of community netball.

☕ The Daily Grind Coffee Van will be on site serving great coffee throughout the day.

🥗 Our canteen continues to offer a range of fresh food options including Banh Mi, chicken and chicken schnitzel sandwiches, Caesar salads, fruit salads and more.

🎗️ 6S Physio will be available all day for strapping services. Bring your own tape or purchase tape on site.

🌭 Brisbane Water Netball Club will be running the BBQ with bacon and egg rolls, sausage sandwiches, steak sandwiches, cakes, slices and plenty more available throughout the day.

📱 Before heading to the courts, don't forget to check your game times, court allocations and ladders via PlayHQ or the Netball HQ App.

💚 Shoosh for Kids
Respect for our umpires is expected at all times. If you see an umpire wearing a green wristband, it indicates they are learning and/or under 18 years of age. Positive encouragement helps create a supportive environment where our young officials can develop and thrive.

Today, we proudly shine the spotlight on Mark Southon from Umina Beach Netball Club.

For the past three years, Mark has been a familiar face around Lemon Grove, generously giving his time to support players, coaches, families and the wider netball community. Whether he's organising equipment and gear, helping secure sponsorships and grants, coaching and managing teams, or arriving early each Saturday to help set up the courts, Mark is always willing to lend a hand wherever it's needed.

As a proud netball dad to Brylea, Lacey and Millie, Mark loves being part of a community that brings people together. He enjoys watching players develop their skills, confidence and friendships both on and off the court, and finds great reward in seeing young athletes grow through the game.

Volunteers like Mark are the backbone of our association, and his dedication, generosity and commitment help make netball at WWPNA the special community it is today.

At WWPNA, improvement isn't always measured by badges earned or milestones achieved. Sometimes it's the confidence gained, the willingness to learn, the resilience shown after a tough game, and the commitment to continually getting better.

Today we recognise four young umpires who have demonstrated exactly that.

Today, we proudly shine the spotlight on Nicole Haber from TKT Ocean Beach Netball Club.

Nicole has been coaching for 11 years and currently leads the TKT Crystals in Junior Division 2 while also serving as Co-Coach of the TKT Pearls in Senior Division 3. Her passion for developing players and creating positive team environments has made a lasting impact on countless athletes across our association.

Having been part of WWPNA for more than 30 years, Nicole values the strong sense of community that makes our association so special. She loves watching players grow not only in their netball skills but also as individuals, while building friendships that last well beyond the game.

Nicole's dedication to her players, her club and our wider netball community was recognised in 2026 when she was awarded the prestigious John Goddard Annual Coaches Award.

Thank you, Nicole, for your commitment, leadership and the positive influence you continue to have on so many players and families across WWPNA.

This month, we proudly spotlight Ruby from Brisbane Water Netball Club, a talented defender who has been part of the WWPNA community for 12 years.

Playing GD and WD, Ruby continues to represent our association with distinction as WWPNA's sole player competing in Metro League when representing Central Coast Netball.

When asked what she loves most about netball at WWPNA, Ruby said, “I love the friendly and welcoming community, and playing with all my friends and making new ones!”

Ruby's commitment to netball, her club and her teammates makes her a wonderful role model for younger players and a valued member of our netball community.

What a great day of netball at Campbelltown! ☀️

The girls enjoyed some beautiful warm weather and competed in a number of close and challenging matches, coming away with some pleasing results.

We are incredibly proud of the way the team fought hard and continued to show resilience, determination and teamwork throughout the day.

The girls listened to feedback and did a great job implementing strategies on the court, showing how much they are growing as a team.

As our final carnival before State Titles, we are feeling excited for the challenge ahead.

It has also been wonderful to see the friendships and mateship within this group continue to grow — they support each other, celebrate each other and make our team a special one to be part of.

It was a perfect day in Muswellbrook for the 14's final carnival before State Titles.

The girls had 7 wins from 7 games and are really starting to come together as a team.

We are so proud of the improvements they made throughout the season and can't wait to see them take the courts at Camden in 2 weeks.

A huge thank you to the parents who made the trip and helped make the weekend special.

The team dinner was a great opportunity for the girls to spend some time together and to continue building those important connections.
